1.
There is one God, who is
infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew
28:19, Matthew 5:48, John 10:30).
2.
The deity of Jesus Christ is the
true God and the true man (Philippians 2:6-11, John
10:33).
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of
the virgin Mary (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke
1:34-38).
His sinless life
(Hebrews 4:15, 7:26);
His miracles (John
2:11);
His vicarious and
atoning death He died on the cross, the Just for the unjust, as a
substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified by His shed
blood, (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews
2:9, 1 Peter 3:18, Romans 5:9).
His resurrection
from the dead according to the Scriptures (Acts 2:23-23,
John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4).
His ascension to now
being at the right hand of Majesty on high as our great High Priest (Mark
16:19, Hebrews 8:1).
His personal
return again to earth in power and glory to establish His Kingdom,
righteousness, and peace (Matthew26:64,
Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16).
3.
The Holy Spirit is a Divine Person (John 14:15-18), sent
to indwell, guide, teach, and empower the believer (John 16:13, Acts 1:8) and
convince the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:7-11).
Regeneration by the Holy Spirit as absolute necessity for salvation because of
the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, and that all are justified on the
single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace
through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24, Romans 3:23; 5:8-9,
Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).
4.The Old and New
Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God,
infallible, authoritative, and are a complete
revelation of His will for the salvation of men. The Scriptures constitute the
divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.
(II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21).
5. Man was
originally created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:27): he fell
through disobedience, incurring physical and spiritual death. All men are born
with a sinful nature (Romans 3:23), are separated from life with God, and can be
saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians
15:20 – 23). The fate of the unrepentant and unbelieving is existence forever in
conscious torment (Revelation 21:8); and that of the believer, in everlasting
joy and bliss (Revelation 21:1 – 4).
6. Salvation has been
provided through Jesus Christ for all men; and those who repent and believe in
Him are born again of the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and
become children of God (Titus 3:4 – 7).
7.
It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit
Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a
godly life and be sanctified wholly (1
Thessalonians 5:23), being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated
to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective
service (Acts 1:8). This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought
in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion (Romans 6:1 - 14).
(Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; 5:18).
8.
Provision is made in the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus Christ for the
healing of the mortal body (Matthew 8: 16 – 17). Prayer for the sick and
anointing with oil are taught in Scriptures and are privileges for the Church
(James 5:13 – 16).
9.
The Church consists of all those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, are
redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the
Head of the Body, the Church (Ephesians 1:22 – 23), which has been commissioned
by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all
nations (Matthew 28:19 – 20, Mark 16:15). The local church is the Body of
believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God; for the
edification through the Word of God; for prayer, fellowship, and the
proclamation of the gospel; and for the observance of the ordinances of baptism
and the Lord’s Supper (Acts 2:41 – 47).
10.
We as Christians are to be examples of the love of God in this world in the
spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I
Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28). It is this (agape) love that we desire
to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (I
John 4:16-17).
11.
There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust; for the former,
a resurrection unto life (1 Corinthians 15: 20 – 23); for the later, a
resurrection unto judgment (John 5:28-29).
12.
The Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent (Hebrews 10:37) and will
be personal, visible and premillennial (Luke 21:27). This is the believer’s
Blessed Hope and is a vital truth, which is an incentive to holy living and
faithful service (Titus 2:11 – 14).
