DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
Where Are
You Going?
There is only one way to
heaven regardless of what others might try and persuade you to believe and that
way is through Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).
People may try and tell you
that there are many ways to get to heaven, and in one respect it is true, but it
is important to know what will happen once you get to the
entrance. “For it is appointed for a man to die once and then face judgment”
(Hebrews 9:27). If you were to die today are you 100 percent sure where you will
spend eternity?
Imagine, some day finding
yourself standing before God and being required to answer these questions:
Q: Have you ever told a lie?
Q: Have you ever taken
something that didn’t belong to you? (value doesn’t matter)
Q: Have you ever disobeyed
your parents?
Q: Have you ever looked at
another person with lust in your heart?
How would you answer?
Did you answer yes to any of
these questions?
These are only 4 of the Ten
Commandments, the standards by which God is going to judge everyone one day. If
God were to judge you based only on those 4 questions would you be innocent or
guilty? (Hint: if you answered ‘yes’ to any of them you would be found guilty.)
If God were to use those 4
questions alone to base your eligibility to enter heaven or send you to hell for
eternity: Where would you be going heaven or hell? Think about it now, would you
be going to heaven or hell? Does you answer concern you? It should. Would you
like to find out how you could avoid hell and instead spend eternity in heaven?
